Meet Kim!

We at AES are so excited to introduce the newest member of our team, Kim Black.

Kim Black recently joined the AES Team, bringing with her over a decade of industry experience. Read on to get to better know Kim, or visit the About Us section of our website to meet all of the AES Team:

Kim Black is the primary recruiting specialist for Advisor Employee Services. In addition to sourcing and selecting potential candidates, Kim lends her 12 years of industry experience to advisors seeking to add the next rock star candidate to their team through ongoing feedback and updates. Since joining AES, Kim has increased placement ratio and decreased the average length of time taken to fill each position through a hands-on approach to the placement process.

Prior to joining AES, Kim was a recruiter for a number of well-known firms, including Mass Mutual, New York Life, New England Financial and LPL Financial. This extensive experience, coupled with a naturally astute business sense, has allowed Kim to pinpoint and build upon her own strengths as a recruiter as well as the strengths of those around her — leading to long-term individual and institutional growth and efficiency.

As someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, it should come as no surprise that Kim has four grown children, four grandchildren (who she loves to spoil), and, as one of her children has special needs, has actively involved herself with the Mission Project 2 in Mission, KS. The Mission Project 2 enables capable young adults in their 20s and 30s with developmental or intellectual disabilities to live independently and safely in the community with minimal support.

A native Ohioan, Kim has had the opportunity to travel across and live in several states throughout the continental U.S. Although she has lived in Kansas for a number of years and now calls Lake Winnebago, MO home, Kim continues to be an avid Buckeye and Cleveland Browns fan. When she isn’t spending time with family, volunteering her time with the Mission Project 2, or watching one of her favorite sports teams, Kim enjoys fishing, hunting, reading, boating, and just received her ASA sailing license.
